Start with the role a recruiter should find

Naukri's recruiter documentation describes keyword search across resume fields. It supports a practical reason to use recognisable role and skill language; it does not disclose a universal candidate pass score. Naukri's explanation of resume search is the source for that distinction.

Choose one plausible target role before editing. Read an actual vacancy and separate required work, tools and qualifications. Include a term only where it describes your experience accurately. A list copied from the vacancy can make the profile look relevant while leaving the application unsupported.

Compare your profile with the uploaded file

• Headline and summary: do they describe the role you are seeking, without claiming a title you have not held?
• Experience: check employer names, dates and responsibilities in both places. Explain a transition rather than quietly changing your work history.
• Skills: keep terminology consistent, then connect the important skills to actual projects or responsibilities.
• Preferences: review location and other application constraints yourself in Naukri. WisGrowth cannot inspect or update those settings.

If your resume was edited after you last uploaded it, replace the old file yourself. A clearer resume cannot fix an outdated profile that a reviewer sees first.

Keyword presence is different from evidence

Consider an operations professional applying for a business analyst role. “Excel, SQL, stakeholder management” is a list. “Used SQL to reconcile order records, investigated mismatches with operations and documented the weekly checks” gives the reader work to assess. This is an illustrative sentence, not a claim about a real candidate. Use it only if it describes what you actually did.

If you have only practised a skill, label the work as a practice project. Do not turn course attendance into employment experience. If you cannot explain a keyword in an interview, removing it may be the more honest improvement.

Use the scanner result to choose one repair

Work through five questions: can the file be read; is the role language relevant; is there evidence behind it; does that evidence fit this vacancy; and does the document match the platform and employer's instructions? Fix extraction problems before rewriting bullets, and evidence gaps before repeating keywords.

For Indian applications, follow the specific employer's requested fields and document format instead of assuming one convention applies everywhere.
