Information we collect
Account and profile information
This can include your name, email address, hashed password, mailing-list preference and profile information you choose to provide, such as phone number, location, experience, career goals or job preferences.
Career Decision information
We process the decision and context you provide, your answers, preferences, priorities, constraints, selected options and other information used to create a Career Decision Snapshot, deeper analysis or Career Decision Report.
Resume, CV and related information
When you upload a resume or CV, we may process the file, file name and metadata, extracted text, contact details contained in the document, work and education history, selected target role, job-description information you provide, and analysis derived from those materials.
Generated results and saved activity
We may store Snapshots, recommendations, Career Decision Reports, Resume Story Check and Resume Proof results, report-generation status, saved actions and other records needed to provide or restore your experience.
Payment and transaction information
For purchases, we process transaction and order identifiers, payment status, product information, amount, currency, fulfilment status and related receipt or promotion information. Payment details entered during checkout are handled by Razorpay.
Usage, technical and analytics information
We collect service events such as page visits, feature interactions, funnel steps and errors. Records may include a session identifier, account identifier when signed in, page or event name, browser user agent, device and viewport information, language, time-zone offset, attribution parameters and a hash of the network address used for the request. The raw network address is not stored in the first-party analytics record. Coarse location may be recorded for limited operational events.
Feedback, research, communications and support
If you voluntarily submit feedback or research responses, or contact support, we process the information you provide along with contact and submission details needed to receive, review and respond to it.
How we use information
We use information where needed to:
- Provide the Career Decision experience, including focused questions, the free first read, deeper analysis and reports.
- Provide Resume Story Check, Resume Proof and related resume processing.
- Create, save, restore and deliver results and purchased reports.
- Create and maintain accounts, authenticate users and support account recovery.
- Create and verify purchases, fulfil access and send transaction receipts.
- Operate, secure, support, troubleshoot and debug the service.
- Measure aggregate product use and understand whether service flows work as intended.
- Respond to support, privacy, feedback and research communications.
- Maintain records needed for accounting, fraud prevention, service integrity or applicable legal obligations.
AI-assisted processing
WisGrowth uses AI-assisted processing as part of some Career Decision, report and resume functions. Information relevant to a requested result may be sent to an AI service provider for processing. AI-assisted outputs can be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed as decision support.
Product analytics and service-improvement records are used to understand and improve the service. This policy does not describe those activities as fine-tuning an AI model, and WisGrowth does not treat AI recommendations as its product category.
Resume handling and aggregate patterns
Resume files, extracted text and personal analysis can be stored so WisGrowth can provide a scan, report, rescan or relevant evidence for a Career Decision. A resume is optional for a Career Decision. It is not automatically shared with an employer, institution or another user.
WisGrowth may create aggregate resume and career patterns, such as counts or commonly observed skills, experience ranges, qualifications or role transitions. Shared aggregate records are designed not to contain direct user, resume, file-name, email or resume-text identifiers, and sparse patterns are withheld until enough contributors are represented. These patterns describe what was observed; they do not prove what caused an outcome.
User-linked contribution records are covered by the deletion process described below. Anonymous aggregate counts and patterns may remain after linked records are deleted.
Payments
Razorpay processes payment details during checkout under its own privacy practices. WisGrowth application records contain purchase and fulfilment information such as order and payment identifiers, status, amount, currency and product, not full card details.
If you request deletion, WisGrowth may retain an anonymized transaction record where needed for accounting, fraud prevention, fulfilment history or legal obligations. The deletion process removes the direct account and product identifiers covered by the current payment anonymisation rule.
When information is shared
WisGrowth does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate the service, including:
- Razorpay for payment processing.
- Hosting, database and private object-storage providers.
- AI service providers where AI-assisted processing is needed for a requested function.
- Email providers used for account, receipt, support or permitted communication messages.
- Analytics services, including Google Tag Manager and configured Google Analytics measurement.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the service, users or others from fraud, abuse or security threats.
Third-party sites linked from WisGrowth have their own privacy practices. Review those policies before providing information to them.
Security
WisGrowth uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect information appropriate to the service. Current controls include hashing account passwords, using restricted authentication cookies, limiting analytics metadata and storing a hash rather than the raw network address in first-party analytics records. Production database connections are configured to use TLS.
No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. This policy does not claim end-to-end encryption, universal encryption at rest, a particular certification, or a fixed security-audit schedule.
Retention, deletion and anonymisation
We retain information while an account is active or while it is needed to provide the service, maintain purchased access, resolve support or security issues, and meet accounting or legal requirements. Different records may therefore be retained for different periods.
You may request account and data deletion through the Contact page. Verified deletion requests are processed within 90 days. The current deletion process deletes many user-linked Career Decision, resume, report, activity, feedback and support records; deletes identified stored objects; removes a user identity from specified shared records; anonymizes payment records; and replaces identifying account details so the old account can no longer be used normally.
A minimal email-suppression record is retained to prevent further marketing, reminder, feedback or research messages after erasure. Privacy-operation records, anonymized transactions and anonymous aggregate statistics or patterns may also be retained where they no longer identify the deleted account or are needed to document and operate the deletion process.
Your choices and requests
You can contact WisGrowth to:
- Ask what information is held about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate account or profile information.
- Request deletion of your account and linked information, subject to the retention and anonymisation limits above.
- Ask to stop non-essential communications or change available communication preferences.
- Raise a question or concern about privacy or the use of your information.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Browser and device controls may also affect cookies, local storage and third-party analytics, but blocking them can affect parts of the service.
Younger users and institutions
The Terms of Service explain current age and supervision requirements. WisGrowth does not claim to operate an automated parental-consent system, and it does not automatically provide an individual user's resume, answers or reports to a school, university, employer or other institution.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as the service or its data practices change. The latest version and its updated date will be published on this page. We may also provide an additional notice where an update materially changes how information is handled.
